Register for Educator Premium Access

For someone to receive Educator Premium access to the site they must be employed as a full educator (not assistant or PhD student) and actively teaching at a degree granting university or institution of higher learning. Go to the Educators website. Click on 'Register Now' in the upper right of your screen.

You will see two options for registration; 'Educator Premium' and 'Higher Education Individual'. Click on the 'Register Now' button under the 'Educator Premium' heading.

Next you will see the registration form, which asks for various pieces of information. Go ahead and fill out the first section of the form, Personal Information.

The second section of the form is University Affiliation. Put the name of your school in the field titled University Name.

In the University Web Site URL field, write or copy and paste the URL for your personal page on your school’s directory.

In the Department field, indicate the department in which you are employed.


Next please indicate your Title.

The Primary Discipline drop-down box is optional. You can select from a variety of disciplines.

The third section of the registration form is for creating a Username and Password. Be sure to choose a password that is secure and easy to remember. The only stipulation is that it must be at least 5 (five) characters long.

The fourth and final section, Research and Teaching Interests, is also optional. It allows you to select disciplines that are of interest to you, so that HBP can suggest products that may be relevant to you. You can select as many disciplines as you like.

Then you can go ahead and click the Register button at the bottom of the form.

Congratulations! You have just registered for Educator Premium. You will automatically receive an email confirming your registration from with the subject 'Welcome to Harvard Business for Educators'.

You do not need to take any action with this email as your registration is already complete. Your request for Educator Premium access has been received and you will be notified when the authorization of your status has been processed by the customer services teams. If you receive an email with the subject 'Welcome to our community of Educators' your application has been approved and you have Educator Premium access for the next 12 months. After 12 months, you will need to renew your Educator Premium access, a process we refer to as re-authorization. How do I renew my Educator Premium access?

If you receive an email with the subject 'Educator Premium Access request for information', you'll need to reply with the requested information.

  1. Your university email address.
  2. Your Harvard Business for Educators web site username.
  3. The specific web address where you are listed as an instructor in your institution's online faculty directory.
    • If you do not have an online listing, please email, fax, or mail us your original letter of hire from your institution, a letter from your department head, or a letter from the human resources department at your school.
