Professors - Register and Renew Educator Premium Access


 Register for Educator Premium Access

To be granted Educator Premium access to the site, applicants  must be a Professor and actively teaching at a degree granting university or institution of higher learning. Go to the Educators website. Click on 'Register Now' in the upper right of your screen.

You will see two options for registration; 'Educator Premium' and 'Higher Education Individual'. Click on the 'Register Now' button under the 'Educator Premium' heading.

Next you will see the registration form, which asks for various pieces of information. Go ahead and fill out the first section of the form, Personal Information.

The second section of the form is University Affiliation. Put the name of your school in the field titled University Name.

In the University Web Site URL field, write or copy and paste the URL for your personal page on your school’s directory.

In the Department field, indicate the department in which you are employed.


Next please indicate your Title.

The Primary Discipline drop-down box is optional. You can select from a variety of disciplines.

The third section of the registration form is for creating a Username and Password. Be sure to choose a password that is secure and easy to remember. The only stipulation is that it must be at least 5 (five) characters long.

The fourth and final section, Research and Teaching Interests, is also optional. It allows you to select disciplines that are of interest to you, so that HBP can suggest products that may be relevant to you. You can select as many disciplines as you like.

Then you can go ahead and click the Register button at the bottom of the form.

This completes the your registration  on the For Educators website.

You will immediately receive an email confirming your registration on the website with the subject line 'Welcome to Harvard Business for Educators

At this time- you have also applied for Educator Premium access. The Educator Premium access application is still pending.

You do not need to take any action on your  registration confirmation email on the website is already complete.

Your request for Educator Premium access has been received and you will be notified when the authorization of your status has been processed. This access approval process can take 24-48 hours.

After 24-48 hours, if your access is approved, you will receive an email with the subject line: Welcome to our community of Educators your application has been approved. From this point- you will have Educator Premium access for the next 12 months.

After 12 months, you will need to renew your Educator Premium access


If you receive an email with the subject Educator Premium Access Request for Information,  it means that we need more information regarding your application for Educator Premium Access.

You will be asked to reply to the email with the requested information.

  1. Your university email address.
  2. Your Harvard Business for Educators web site username.
  3. The specific web address where you are listed as an instructor in your institution's online faculty directory.
    • If you do not have an online listing, please email, fax, or mail us your original letter of hire from your institution, a letter from your department head, or a letter from the human resources department at your school.


Renew Educator Premium Access

Educator Premium access expires after 12 months and must be renewed by submitting the 'Educator Premium Access Renewal Request'.

For someone to renew Educator Premium access to the site they must be employed as a Professor  and actively teaching at a degree granting university or institution of higher learning.

If your access has expired, to renew, go to, fill out the form and click 'Send Request' in the bottom right.


Once you submit your requests- you will immediately receive an confirmation email.

This confirmation email acknowledges your request to renew your Educator Premium Access

Approval of a renewal request generally takes 24-48 hours to process.

If your renewal is approved - you will be notified by an email with the Subject Line: Congratulations. Your Premium Educator access to the Harvard Business Publishing for Educators web site has been renewed.

Access to online Educator Copies, free trials, and Teaching Notes is a courtesy extended by HBP so instructors can review course material for possible adoption and easily deliver material to students. We hope you enjoy being a part of our community of educators.'

    Can we approve an AQ account if the e-mail address is clearly not the professor's, but is know to belong to an admin? If it gets approved, should we edit the e-mail address?
