eBook Policy for Libraries

eBook Policy for Libraries

Libraries may purchase an eBook for general circulation purposes, but the eBook must be loaned; the digital file can only be available to one person at a time, as you would with a hard-copy. Multiple users may not access an eBook at the same time. Libraries may accomplish this lending in two ways:

  • tablet loaded with file loaned to one student at a time
  • read only file available on library computer
    • printing the read only file is not allowed
    • printing the file would require copyright permission
