Developing a winning strategy for your team and company is more important than ever in today’s turbulent business environment. At the same time, strategy work is often a frustrating, stressful process that rarely leads to actionable results. Too much time is spent in endless meetings rather than gathering ideas and building a clear action plan. This common experience often leads managers to dread strategy work or avoid it all together. It doesn’t have to be this way. HBR has partnered with A.G. Lafley, CEO of Procter & Gamble, and Roger Martin and Jennifer Riel of the Rotman School of Management to develop the 'Playing to Win Strategy Toolkit.' This comprehensive toolkit provides an industry-proven strategy framework with step-by-step support to develop and implement successful strategy in any organization. With expert advice, customizable tools, and guidance throughout the entire process, you can lead your team through a successful strategy initiative based on making the right choices to stay ahead of the competition. The Playing to Win Strategy Toolkit is a digital product; there are no shipping fees, no delays. You will have it instantly in your My Downloads section.

This comprehensive tool is based on the proven approach to strategy developed by A.G. Lafley, CEO of Procter & Gamble and Roger Martin, professor and former Dean at the Rotman School of Management. Used by leading companies around the world, this framework is at the center of the Playing to Win Strategy Toolkit. It has been enhanced with expert advice, customizable support, and guidance at every milestone to help you lead your strategy initiative with confidence.

Can I share the Toolkit with my team? With other teams in my company?

Yes, you may share the Toolkit with your own team, but outside/additional teams would need their own copy. The appropriate usage is that each individual leading a team through this process would have their own copy. If a manager is leading the process, they can share the content with their own team, but if a manager has decided each of their 5 direct reports should also be leading this strategy work with their teams, each team manager would need their own copy.

Access

Once you have purchased the Toolkit, you may access it by logging into HBR.org, clicking on the person icon in the upper right and selecting Purchases.

On the resulting page, click on Download Files for the order.

On the resulting screen you will have links to download and access all the aspects of the product:

  • Facilitator's Guide
  • Case Studies
  • Meeting Decks
  • eBook (three formats available: MOBI, EPUB, PDF)
  • Video Introduction

Access to the Toolkit does not expire.
