Clicking on Sign In and Nothing Happens

If you're clicking on either the Sign In link on HBR.org and nothing happens (no fields appear for you to enter username and password) or if you're going to https://hbr.org/sign-in, entering your username, password, clicking Sign In and nothing happens, you are encountering one of two issues:

  • Privacy or ad-blocking software such as Ghostery, Disconnect, Privacy Badger, Symantec, Websense is preventing the sign in fields on our website from working. HBR.org must be added to the list of trusted websites within the privacy or ad-blocking software for our sign in fields to work.
  • JavaScript issues. Follow the steps, record the information requested below and email it to techhelp@hbsp.harvard.edu to allow Tech to troubleshoot the problem.
    • Chrome:
      • Click the 'Hamburger' menu in the upper right
      • Choose 'More Tools' -> 'JavaScript Console' Record any Errors reported.
    • Firefox
      • Click the 'Hamburger' menu in the upper right
      • Choose 'Developer' -> 'Web Console' Record any Errors reported.
    • Internet Explorer
      • Click on the 'Gear' icon in the upper right
      • Choose 'F12 Developer Tools'
      • Choose 'Console' Record any Errors reported.
