What is included in the Harvard Business Review App?

The app includes digital issues of Harvard Business Review, along with select free content, such as chapter downloads and special reports, from content partners.

As a subscriber, how do I download a magazine?

To download a magazine that is part of your subscription, click on either the magazine issue cover or the cloud icon to the right of the magazine cover to begin downloading.

How long does it take to download a magazine issue?

Typically, it will take less than five minutes to download an item in the app. To speed up the download process, make sure you have a strong WiFi connection and consider disabling other devices on the same connection until the issues are downloaded.

Can I download multiple issues at once?

No, please download one issue at a time to avoid download errors.

What happens if I exit the app while an issue is downloading?

The download will pause until the app is re-opened and that item is tapped again. The issue will resume downloading from where it left off.

How far back are issues available in the app?

The issues available to you in the app are those covered by the term of your subscription, with the earliest issue available Jan/Feb 2012. We began producing a version of the magazine for the app with the Jan/Feb 2012 issue, and if your subscription has been active since that time, you will have all issues going back to that date. If there are any lapses in your subscription history, those issues will not be available to you.

If I purchase a subscription through the app, does that include access to the print magazine or HBR.org?

The Harvard Business Review app only includes content delivered through the app. If you would like to add a print subscription to your account, contact subscription services.

I’m a Harvard Business Review all-access subscriber. How do I get the issues I subscribed to through the app?

To link your print subscription to the app, tap the Sync Subscription button at the top of your screen. On the screen that follows, fill in your First Name, Last Name and Email Address associated with your Harvard Business Review print subscription. Once you have synced your subscription, the text on the button will change to Subscription Synced.

After I update to the new version, will I still have access to my old issues?

Yes, you will need to first Sync Subscription and then all of your issues will be available to you but you will need to download them again. You will also need to create new bookmarks within the old issues.
