What is included in the Harvard Business Review Tablet App?

The app includes digital issues of Harvard Business Review, along with free PDF downloads of the Big Idea.

As a subscriber, how do I download a magazine?

To download a magazine that is part of your subscription, click on either the magazine issue cover on IOS devices or the download button on Android devices.

How long does it take to download a magazine issue?

Typically, it will take less than a minute to download an item in the app. To speed up the download process, make sure you have a strong WiFi connection and consider disabling other devices on the same connection until the issues are downloaded.

Can I download multiple issues at once?

No, please download one issue at a time to avoid download errors.

How far back are issues available in the app?

As an All-Access subscriber, you have access to all of the back issues available in the App going back to January/February 2012 issue.

If I purchase a subscription through the app, does that include access to the print magazine or HBR.org?

The Harvard Business Review app only includes content delivered through the app. If you would like to add a print subscription to your account, contact subscription services.

I’m a Harvard Business Review all-access subscriber. How do I get the issues I subscribed to through the app?

For IOS devices, you will need to tap on Subscriptions which is located at the button of the screen. You will tap on Current Subscribers, you can either enter your Account Number or your subscription email and Zip/Postal Code. Hit Done to finish syncing your subscription.

For Android devices, to link your subscription to the app, tap the Existing Subscribers button at the top of your screen. On the screen that follows, either enter your Account Number or your subscription email and Zip/Postal Code. Hit Log In to finish syncing your subscription.

After I update to the new version, will I still have access to my old issues?

Yes, you will need to first Sync Subscription and then all of your issues will be available to you but you will need to download them again.

I am having trouble syncing my subscription.

If you are having problems, remove the zeros at the beginning of your account and just start with the next number.

I am an in-App Subscriber and I deleted the Harvard Business Review app. How do I restore my content?

 

For IOS devices, tap on the Gear Icon on the lower right-hand corner of the App. In the settings menu popup, select Restore Purchases. You will need to confirm your Apple ID password.

 

For Android devices, tap on the 3 Dots in the upper right-hand corner of the App. In the settings menu, select Restore Purchases.

 

You will need to re-download each issue.

 

I am in-App Subscriber and I am having trouble with my subscription. Who do I contact?

 

For IOS devices, contact https://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/

 

For Android devices, contact https://support.google.com/googleplay/?hl=en#topic=3364260

 

 

I am in-App Subscriber and I subscribed directly through the iTunes store or Google Play, my annual or monthly subscription of Harvard Business Review will automatically renew unless I turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.

Turn Off Auto-Renewal for IOS Devices

Please follow the steps below to shut off the auto-renewal option for Harvard Business Review.

  • From your iPad Tap on the App Store.
  • Tap on Featured at the bottom of the screen.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap on Apple ID, a pop up will appear and you need to select the option "View Apple ID"
  • Enter your Apple iTunes password and tap OK
  • The next screen you will want to select the option "Manage" under Subscriptions
  • From your Manage App Subscription page, choose Harvard Business Review app
  • Under Renewal options, Tap on the Auto-Renewal toggle the switch to OFF.
  • You’ll receive a confirmation message; tap Turn Off to confirm your choice

Turn Off Auto-Renewal for Android Devices

Please follow the steps below to shut off the auto-renewal option for Harvard Business Review.

  • From your Android Tap on the Google Play Store App.
  • Tap on the Menu at the upper right-hand side of the screen
  • Tap on Account from the menu
  • Tap on Subscriptions from the account menu
  • Turn off Auto-Renewal feature for Harvard Business Review
