Copyright permission authorizes you to make a photocopy or distribute/share a purchased clean copy of one of our products.
On HBR.org, this typically includes Case Studies, Magazine Article Reprints, Digital Articles, Ebooks, HBR Tools, and Translations.
Each copyright permission covers a single copy. Therefore, you need to purchase one copyright permission for each copy you intend to distribute or share.
Note that copyright permission only authorizes photocopying and does not include a master copy for distribution/sharing.
For Case Studies, Magazine Article Reprints, and Digital Articles:
- On the product detail page, increase the quantity to the number you need to distribute plus a master copy (e.g., if distributing to 5 users, add 1 master copy and 5 copies to distribute).
- Click ‘Add To Cart’ and then ‘Check out’ on the resulting page.
- If you already have a copy of the item, purchase only the quantity you need to distribute.
- Once you have the necessary permissions, you can email the PDF as an attachment or distribute printed copies.
Please note that Harvard Business Publishing does not use "Digital Object Identifier" DOI
